Wood ID Help

No branches or leaves left on this pile when I picked it up. Splits on the medium side. Not the worst I split, but not the easiest either. No noticeable smell. Dark heartwood, does not smell like the ash that I split earlier in the month.

Anybody have any idea on this one?

Again with Silver Maple. Silver Maple is very lightweight and rots fast. Get it in a proper stack with some protection or burn it ASAP.

Thanks everyone for the replies. This is the first "wood ID" I posted where everyone agreed on the ID, so I guess it is silver maple.
