When I saw these Washingtonia robustas on Balboa Ave. in San Diego I had to stop and take a photo. Climb the tree and randomly swing a chainsaw.

holy crap ive never seen one that bad.
I just seen a few in my city where all they left was 1 frond before it even opened,
but this dude sawed the dam frond in half, wtf was he thinking lololol

Maybe the pruning was all about the birds roosting in the palms and the evidence of that on the cars very morning ?

High quality imported labor from TJ. They are experts at everything. I used to live in Del Cerro/Sandy Eggo. I used to prune my landlord's fruit trees (for fruit production) every year. One year he hired a Messican crew to prune all the trees in the yard. I asked him why, and he said that they were cheap and they said that they were "experts". So the following 2 years, no fruit on any trees. They had cut or broken off ever fruit spur. But hey, they were the experts!
