worth repairing

ok so i have a feeling this is probably going to end with dont bother with it but i am going to ask a dumb question anyways.

this weekend i had a guy give me two string trimmers, a blower and to my surprise a very old craftsman 2.1 with the top handle. other than being rather rusty it looks to be in pretty good shape, both trimmers started and the blower needs a carb cleaning so i am assuming a good sand blast a new chain and recoil spring it will run, but my question is it worth it? its an only yellow one, i forgot to take pics while i was home but can if requested. so is it worth fixing as a collectors piece or pitch it?

thats what i figured, i think i am going to just give it a once over and then see if she'll fire up. i think its just going to be a functional decoration in the garage. i looked on ebay theres one going for 10$ so no point in selling it. seems to be a theme so far.
