Would you pay . . .

Heck yeah! Especially if it's a tandem axle trailer.:D

4 x 4 x 16 ft = 2 cords.

$200 / 2 cords = $100 per cord.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. The only kicker is the box elder, not on the top of the list for my burning pleasure.

It's not unfair, but no steal either. Lots of splitting/stacking for you to do.
We get good wood, split and stacked, for $150+/-.
I get that much, loaded on my trailer, for $50+/-.
So if you are in a bind, or have well paying work keeping you busy, it's reasonable. I'm retired, so wouldn't do it.
Wood burning is mostly casual here and the season is short, so a lot of wood is wasted in the woods ot sent to the dump! I expect up north the market is a lot stronger.

I am very fortunate..

I would never pay for wood period.. we have so much wood laying on the ground.. My son and his buddy both sixteen are cutting splitting and stacking to sell this fall. Most of the tops were felled back when the ground was frozen. We average a face cord an hour after they get home from school. So not to bad of job for teenagers. making 25 bucks an hour .. Beats minimum wage
