Ok that might help people that have saws they might part with. The only Stihl I have extra right now is a 660 and I'm not sure I want to see it go. I'm going to build a mill to use with a 36-42" bar.

Hope your going with an HD pump massaged and/or an auxiliary oil supply. Your going to need a big custom air filter and pipe :) How high you going on compression?

There is something very familiar with that pic---when I bought my 394 from the pawn shop it had 170psi. It was cheap bc they said it wouldn't run right. It cranked and ran fine for me until one day in the woods when it wouldn't crank. It turned out that the plug wire was worn into right where I see that tape. I swapped another lead onto it and it hasn't missed a lick since. I also have the same SnapOn gauge...btw, the 55 box hasn't even been opened, I will see what's in it one day. I have my scales set up on top of it!!

Haha, yes siree... She has a new spark plug boot on her now :). That box of 55 is something I barely touched myself lol. I don't even recall what all it needs. I do sincerely miss the good 55 though!

If you don't make a deal with one of them I may be convinced to sell the 660.
