An 075 just came up for sale on the local CL for $700 and I\m tempted to pick it up for milling or the occasional huge log/stump. However, these saws get older every year and I'm wondering about parts availability. I'm pretty sure the saw has been used for milling because the guy selling it also has several Alaskan mills for sale--is it fairly easy to pull the muffler and examine the exhaust side of the piston?

Looks good. Better than some old saws for parts, cause they share a lot of parts with the 510/760 concrete cutoff saws along with the 051 chainsaw. Should be easy to pull the muffler off to check the piston, just need a long 4mm hex bit most likely same as my old 045/056's.
