Thinking about a pole pruner for my KM unit and I am wondering about a non safety chain. I asked at the Stihl dealer but their mechanic was out. The guys there didn't think that Stihl made a non safety chain in that size. :dizzy: I think this is the safety chain that comes on the pruner: http://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/saw-chains/pmmc3/ If Stihl doesn't make one, who does?

??? http://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/saw-chains/ps3/ Looks like it is 0.050 gauge. I should probably get it with a 0.050 bar. I did get to try one out with new safety chain and it cut pretty good. I think it will do what I want stock.

Oh, and they told me Stihl didn't make non safety chain in that size for "kickback reasons". I like the mechanic, that is why I shop there. These guys, bless their hearts, aren't mechanics.

I liked it well enough that I picked it up stock earlier and I didn't think about asking them switch the bar to a yellow capable bar. Durr. S'all right. Could always buy another bar later or get another chain and grind the bumpers off. Tain't a big deal.
