I found this tech manual for Zama carbs and it helped me out a lot. It has settings and drawings for the C1Q and other carbs. It also gives a pretty detailed description of the venturi carb and how it works.<br>

if stihl owns zama why is the carbs still marked China on them and all the repair kits marked made in china ?

Zama was a 100% Japanese family owned company and Stihl negotiated to buy them last year, and I believe the sale proceeded a few months back.
As Mange points out, Zama have more than Chinese manufacturing.
Oh, and Walbro has a factory in China too.

Generally I don't like the Walbro's I've had anything to do with. (WB's) Often have poor metering in the mid range. (you have to run excessive low speed to compensate)
Tillo's are much better in this regard. Not sure about the C3M Zama carb yet, but it looks like it should be better than a Walbro.
