2-stroke wrench jocks,

I have read that some new Huskys come with Zama carbs and older Huskys have Walbro. Are Zamas a performance upgrade or just better for Husqvarna's profit margin?

Both

The Zama's do perform well and probably are a little cheaper for the manufacturer to buy.

As far as I know, the Zamas basically are copies of the Walbros, but their venturi dia is in mm instead of x/64"s, allways rounded off up to the next mm for the "same" size carbs.
