Just purchased this low hour, near minty stihl 056. Has been sitting with fuel in it for 4 or so years. Dumped all gas out, and am getting a carb rebuild kit. It will start easily on spray. While cleaning it up, I pulled muffler....this is what I found... Piston looks amazing..haven't checked...

I purchased a helicoil kit to fix...they had tried to fix it with one already, and most likely didn't set the coil hard enough to get it to stay, as it Blew back out....or drilled hole wrong size. Just as title states...picked up this ms460 today..my fears were confirmed. Spent some time removing alum transfer..just to find two decent gouges above exhaust ports. As always...thanks!!
