    353 e-tech ne346 top end?

I've been looking at getting a 353 and putting a ne 346 top end on it, from what I've read here it's a direct swap, but the husky web site lists the 353 as a 1.26" stroke and the 346 as a 1.28" stroke. is that a mis print or does the 346 case set the cyl higher? or is the 353 e-tech a...

    372xp or 576xp?

+1 Since you have a 346 for the majority of the tree, the 576 will cut a bit better I think. It would be different if you had to lug it around for all the limb work too.

288XP Chain loosening all the time...

if the crank was bent it would only change tension when the motor turns, so if you just pull the chain around by hand and it's doing it, I'd check the sprokets and the bearing. Back in my younger years I also learned that just a little bit of that nice sawdust/oil crap under the clamping area...

Help on 385XP Carb Adjust Screw Limiter

I had a 55cc craftsman with a walbro and it had an aluminum "fence" around the screws and the screw heads were a "D" shape but no limiters, is that what yours look like?

    tight squish

I was wondering if any one knew where I can get some thin gasket material to make a base gasket out of, or is there a good enough "gasket maker" sealant to seal it up? thanks.

    I need a carb guru'

ok, I've been messing around with my 575xp husky, and was wondering if anyone knew what I can do to get a bigger carb on it? I see zama has a couple different strato carbs but not sure what one would be an upgrade for me.

    Squish clearance

I was always tought too, to use two pieces at 180 deg apart and in line with the wrist pin to prevent the piston from rocking and give you a false read. But that was with sleds that have a wee bit bigger cyl's. Thanks a ton for the spec. though, I appreciate it.

    Husky 575xp vs 570

I just got another one too, I e-mailed husky to ask them, and they said "current models have 5.5Hp. Sorry for the mis-print." Straight from the husky's mouth.

    Stihl wont rev

Had an 032 that did pretty much the same thing, thought I was chasing a carb gremlin, but the spark would be nice bright, then weak and erratic 5min later.

    Squish clearance

I was looking to bump the compression up a little on my play saw, is there any rule of thumb for how tight you can run the squish? I've played around with snowmobiles and alot of guys will run the squish a little tighter the smaller the piston gets, but saws are a little smaller than I'm...

    Husky 575xp vs 570

Why do I see two different Hp numbers for the 575xp? a lot of ad's spec. it at 5.4hp while the husky site sets it at 5.8? did the earlier models have 5.4 and the current have 5.8? just curious.
