It's not worth the little money that is saved to use waste oil . There are health issues and the wear on the bar,chain,and oiler .

My Uncle Always used crankcase oil. He Cut for 40 years with used oil. Saved hundreds of dollars! Any lube on bar is better than no lube period.

I Tend to Agree. For Me. My Saws Deserve proper Bar Oil! Crankcase Oils Stink And are messy! My Uncle was a child of the Depression. He Really was a mizer when it came to spending Money! Plus, he lived around 80/90 miles from town.
