Only thing wrong, is you haven't got CAD bad enough to keep them all.

I've been thinking of doing the same, replace or wear out the stihl's.
Three or four times the hours on the Dolmars & apox. 50% less in repairs and parts than the stihl's. #1 beef on the stihl's is the fuel lines, seems like every time a barrel of oil goes up - the quailty goes down.

Sooooo, What ya gonna do with the 440?

I put both of them (260 & 440) on ebay last night. I'm only selling them because of my local dealers lack of service and personallity. Both have a buy it now with free shipping. Sorry, Mike.

I wonder just how many zero personality Stihl dealers have driven people off to other brands. I find many Stihl dealers have the I don't need your business attitude. I believe the only reason they have any business is the quality and reputation of their products not their treatment of the customer.

I understand that I don't go in there and buy thousands of dollars of equipment each year, but I work hard for my money and try to buy quality equipment for my personal use. I think that everybody should get treated like they want your business when you walk through thier door, even if all I need is a new file and some pre-mix. Sorry, done ranting....

TRI955 you're new user name is "Shinnyman"

Everytime I go into one of the Husqvarna dealers I frequent he or his help try to sale me a Shinny. He declines when I say give me a demo to try and I'll think about it. Let us know how the shinnys perform when you get'em.

I buy and use all husqvarna products now because my stihl dealers attitude got in the way. Not only that, when i did try to buy a string trimmer from him,he talked me into a kawasaki trimmer! I went there for a stihl. It was a big mistake on his part,Ive bought 4 husky saws,3 string trimmers,a blower,a pole saw,and many other things from my husky dealer, who by the way is excellent. My husky dealer sharpens my chains free, and just takes good care of me,if i need anything, i get it right away, and ive never had to wait for parts, everything i have needed was in stock.

Buy what you feel is right, I run both stihl and Husqy kit, on balance I prefer husqy but I always consider stihl. In fact Ive just bought a 441, lets see how it compares to my 575!!

"Shinnyman" just doesn't sound right!! I will let you know how they compare for sure. I just got the call from my "Shinny" dealer to let me know they are both there!!! I made the order last night around 4:30pm and there already there waiting on me!!!:jawdrop: Now that's service!!! I guess they want to sell something!!!

Not trying to get this off topic, but dealer support is what is helping my business grow. Many times I've had saws on the shelf that I can't sell because one of the tree services that shops here needs a part. I thank EVERY customer for their business because I know that they can spend their money anywhere they want, and I know they bust their buts to earn it!!

It's sad to hear you can't get good Stihl service and have to put up with attitude! I know I need every sale and every service job I can get so I can almost pay the bills. Also, if you have problems dealing with people, why even be in this business??

Best of luck with the new dealer.

I just ordered a 488 & 757 Shindaiwa to replace my Stihl's.....
Alright, so let me have it.....:chainsaw:

TRI,

Best of luck man. But your ole brain is still gonna hurt after you sell those Stihl and get them Shinnies.

Let us know how it's workin' out for ya,

Joat

I bought my 361 a couple of months ago from a dealer about 25 mins away. There are two Stihl dealers closer to me but the guy that got my business new the business and was also cordial and willing to answer questions and offer insight. Worth the drive time IMO.
