Hey Mark,

Nice cautious review. I am waiting for the full picture in a month. I have a Makita 5000(Dolmar 5100 in blue with limited coil) and I like it a lot. It is hard to get a serious review these days without a serious onslaught among the pro and contra legue.

Personally I think that is a fine looking saw.
I'm also looking forward to the final report and am curious what you finally end up with for bar and chain preference.

How much credance are you guys' gonna put on Marks "HONEST" opinion?

After all if you read his first post he admits to "shill bidding" his buddies saw.

So he gets stuck with it a blows it a bad review.

Only thing good that could come from this is, that he bought a fried saw!:buttkick:

Well Ya'll can Blame WINDSOR

Well You all can Blame Windsor for the Odd 64 driver count 18" bar. Years ago all Sachs Dolmars were equipped with rebadged Windsor bars from Sachs Dolmar USA They used a 59 driver 16" a 64 driver 18" and a 69 driver 20" and a 81 driver 24" on the CJL mount. Dolmar was not the only mfg that used these setups as I recall Mid size Homies, Jreds, Huskys and others used this set up for many years. Then Husky got in bed with Oregon and they decided to use a 60 driver 16" a 68 driver 18" and a 72 driver 20" as well as a 84 driver 24" so the chains would coinside with the Larger frame Husky's that used the D009 mount. So today Oregon Offers dual length bars for the 095 Mount if you Order K095 you get the longer lengths and if you order A/Z095 you get the shorter lengths. As far as time era this all changed I think it was round the introduction of the 262 that used the 095 tail if I recall correctly.

Mark give it some break in time check the fuel filter if it has been sitting the ethanol wrecks them pretty quick. And it will come to life and you will enjoy it very much I think?

Why Sir?

Do I deserve an azz chewing?

I don't think my moral stardards are in question here.

Yep. My XL12/SXL-AO Homelites use the same DL count chains for those length bars. I believe Mac 10-10 family saws did too if I'm not mistaken. IIRC, the old mid-size Echos (such as my CS451AV) did too.

It is very unbecoming of a Mopar man!:buttkick:

Where do you want to start???

With the fact that you are questioning the review of one of the most respected members here? One needs only to look through a listing of his past posts and it soon becomes poignantly clear that his "HONESTY" (often even brutally honest) is above reproach.

Or would you rather start with the disparaging remark about him "shill bidding" on a saw on e-bay? He didn't say that he was "running up" the bid on an active bidder, but that he wanted to "bust the reserve" and remove the "reserve not met" from the listing. He also obviously followed through with the sale so how can you imply that he was shill bidding?

Or we could start with the fact that you must have taken his review as a personal attack on YOUR saw, as evidenced by your defense of YOUR saw in your first post and then by your unwarranted personal attack on him.

I could go on, but if you don't see by now why you need a good verbal trouncing, no amount of explanation would ever draw the clouds back and let the sunlight of recognition in!
Personal attacks such as yours are the very reason this site has lost a wealth of helpful, knowledgeable members over the years.

In short Sir, you showed your behind here today and maybe a good spanking would make you think twice before doing it again.

Hey Mikey,

You think you da man to give me a big spankin?

If you condone this behavior, I know I ain't got a thing to worry about.

And hey you missed a spot!

Actually,

I just did!
As I predicted though, you didn't even realize it.
One day you will put aside your childish things and be grown into manhood.
But today, obviously, isn't that day!

Mike

I didn't feel a thing.

Could it be that you were the member he was shillin' fo?

You know I have been on this site longer than both of you. You both have a wall of stars that doesn't mean squat.

Most you guys got them from getting in a big butt sniffin' party and passing your favors back and forth.

Back when I joined the only ones that had a wall of stars were guys like Andy and Thall.

If'n you can't take the heat stay away from the fire.

And if you don't like it report me to a mod.

You really think so? I have learned that it is extremly difficult for someone to change his behavior if he is not very determined. And that is very very rare.

Still waiting for a update from Mark.

CHECKMATE

In your dreams!
You are a legend in your own mind!

It would be nice to buy you for what you are worth, and sell you for what you think you are worth!

Yes, I was the seller of that saw, and I can tell you for absolute certain that his review is spot on and there was no shill bidding whatsoever going on!
I had not talked with him in any manner from the time I listed that saw until after he bid on it!
His money was good as gold as was his word.
I will probably be listing another one before long and he is welcome to bid on that one too!

Mike

Sir,

Is not the act of bumping up a bid with out intention of buying the definition of shill bidding.

So he got caught and went through with the purchace, that sure makes him a tower of moral standings in my book!

I will not lower myself to your level any more.

Good Day Sir
