Butt, in any biz when a change is made it's vetted; software or products by beta tests or focus groups. Not apparently done here.
e.g. Can one of the owners explain the use of the large grey real estate on both sides of the screen ?
Some of us come out of the high tech arena. The decision to alter the design and layout and some functions of AS seems useless.
Explain ? We are your customers.

Search feature functionality is ALWAYS delayed any time a forum software upgrade is made, as the new system needs time to be searched and cataloged. If you need search in the mean time, I'd recommend google's advanced search--will show you anything you need to see and more.

No problem. If you're concerned about keeping up with changes, the advantage to using google is that it says remarkably the same from year to year. I've been using their advanced search for the past five years, and the same text for searching applies. Simply enclose your search terms in quotes, and type "site: (website here)" after the search terms. Or, you can click on the "advanced tab" and have all the options laid out for selecting if you can't remember the format to use.

You need to use the search function for "mods".

Well lets give a little while to get all the bugs out, It's gonna take a while to learn all the new tricks. If they could get it to fit my screen and darken the white a little more it would be fine. They said they were workin on it. I'm not crazy about the baby diaper crap green, But i can live with it.

As Woodchucker81 pointed out in another thread...........Hold down CONTROL and + or - to fit your screen, it worked for me, hope it helps you.

My prediction for this new format...........

They will have to modify the "Rewards" program, or it will hurt this forum.

After wading through all of the crap posts brought on by the "Rep" feature, the Reward
thing will quickly get out of hand. People making hundreds of meaningless posts, starting
silly threads, just to gain reward points so they can get an A.S. hat or shirt.

Just thinking about it while I write this, makes me shudder. All of these guys typing
out incoherant babble as fast as they can, trying to build up reward points, thinking of
any question to throw up and start a thread.
Bottom line, people will stop reading, not wanting to wade through the swill.
