Woodhcucker loves 70cc saws more than just about anyone, so this thread is to spread the love of 70cc saws.

I got a chance to run my new MS440 with a 28" bar today, cutting some punky but FREE Chestnut.
The MS260 tagged along for the smaller stuff.

Hey Cale, Good look'n pair. I think he has moved on to 50cc saws. Last I talked to him he was expecting a Jonsered and a Husqvarna in that range in the mail. But you have that class covered for him with the 260!

I wish I had the budget Jason does for saw.

The 260 is a good running little saw, it was a trade in on a 261 and I've kept it around as a shop saw. Nothing special just a good saw to do limbing and stuff.

The MS440 is running Windsor 50A full comp semi chisel chain, because the tree has enough rot and foreign objects in it that it killed my full skip chisel chain in 1 cut.

Ain't nothing wrong with a 390/039 by any means IMO. Especially the one I own.

Ain't nothing wrong with a 390/039 by any means IMO. Especially the one I own.

Ah, didn't know you had one. Other than the oiler failing almost instantly after i bought mine new there hasn't been any problem with it. The dealer fixed it asap. I usually leave my 24" bar on it and it eats pretty good.
