I'm not a fan of Chinese junk, but I keep coming back to this one. It offers a 3 year SquareTrade warranty for $17.99. So $115 for at least three years of 50cc saw. More than likely it wouldn't last the three years and I would get the full refund. Am I crazy to think this is a good idea?

Stay FAR away from those. I have a friend who bought one of those things off Alibaba and they are trash. There's so much blow by it's not funny an the worst part of it all, we used it for 2 hours. He bought one of the large Stihl 070 knock offs. Glad he was a test dummy because I was thinking about getting one for milling.

If you'd prefer to not pay full retail for a chainsaw why not buy a good used one? I've bought Stihls and Husqvarnas used for under $100. You have to really look but they're there.

Not to be tooting my own horn but if anyone wants a decent 245 Poulan I have mine listed on ebay right now. It's going pretty cheap as most Poulans do. Has a cracked clutch cover but nothing major wrong with it. New chain.
