I apologize if I came off that way that is not my intentions at all I grew up logging and I have never seen those taped on sights before. If they are common then again I apologize I did not mean to insult anyone. I am only trying to give some advice as I have personally fallen several million feet at production level.
I agree never seen taped on sights, only thing I figure is, compensating. Parmeter has told me the sights are slightly off, on some Stihls, even his 066. Aaron, John, and I had that conversation. John is A stihl man through, and through, his family of loggers too. So for him to tell me he liked Husky sights better, it gained my ear and attention. I do not know for sure and certain, but may be something there. Slow p, I agree with mentioned above, your tree looked right on mark, or gun, according to your corners, which also looked nice and square. Parmeter drilled that in my head, gun, saw square, and keep staraight cuts, and square corners. Always, so for years I practiced on smaller trees, whic I found harder, awkward angles, and less to bite into. I am curious on the marks though on that Stihl, be cool to hear the story behind it.
