I am liking the hat, thanks Mark. Got the bill all shaped like I want it now.

Along with the gruesome... A pair of brothers near me were cutting wood and the saw kicked back. Hit him in the throat. The other brother had no chance of saving him.

I grew up farming and cutting wood. It's was stories like these that kept it real during my cocky youth. You don't want to lose respect for the equipment you're using.

That was within 2 inches of being ME!!!!!

I'll show youens the scar if you want sometime.

The Dayton is a runner.

All the usual fuel system crap plus a good cleaning and he is a runner.

Got to watch the toe of your boot when sitting cross legged adjusting the carb.

Lost the tiny star washer in the fuel cap so, don't have a duckbill in it yet.

Cuts well for a trashed chain. One of the drivers is busted off.

Is it possible that the bar guage is .058"? The 3/8 x .050 is extremely sloppy.

Could be, but just as likely the groove is worn. .008" ain't a lot. Have you got some feeler gauges you can measure it with?

We'll measure him when we take the chain down to Jeff's for a drive link.

It's remarkable, the chain looks like home made %$#t. But, after a trip thru the Harbor Freight grinder, it cuts great. :msp_ohmy:

Need to get the bar dressed. Excellent excuse for a road trip to Bishops in Perry, Ks.. That place rocks. Do some parts shopping in their junk saw pile.

You have my admiration Roger. Not for the hat or the saw but that you can hold a spiked saw on your shoulder without drawing blood. When one of my friends comes over and says "Where's Tim?" My wife says "he's working on his Blah Blah Blah, just follow the blood trail."

The muscles are willing it is the joints that are going bad.

The pakistani's build guns with nothing but hand tools. I've seen my uncle make a wood lathe out of a table saw. Ingenuity is a fine thing, but machinery(CNC or otherwise) makes it a lot faster and easier. :msp_tongue:

I bought a hunting knife built in Pakistan and I'm sure it was made without a machine shop, you can see the marks from the grinder they used, very crude quality.
