If you have a square wave tig you can use 2% lanthanated or ceriated on aluminum to help control the arc more. On a sine wave you can only use it at really low amperage, the rest of the time you have to use pure tungsten.

I used an 18 torch of a long time but I recently got new cables and hoses for the my ailing 20 torch and started using it since I'm not welding above 250 amps much anymore. It's much easier to maneuver.

My -20 is a flex head, my -18 is my go to .............. especially now with the 1/16" gas nozzle.

Dag nabbit Mike, that 064 is makin me drool on muh keyboard and all. The looks of that saw is real hard on a red-neck!

i just got a 268 on my bench. came in with a 281. guy gave me the 281 to fix the 268. all it needed was a good tuning and had to make a chain tensioner for it cause i am all out of them used for that saw series.
281 is the saw i installed a hyway top end kit on nearly 3 years ago now. the thing has a huge amount of hours tree spacing and still runs like a top. never expected that kind of reliability out of that kit. :)

Put a set of Cabers in my 3400 tonight. P/C are very nice and it ran alright, but it had a lot of hours.

Anyone wanna buy it when I get it back together?
