was cutting some iron bark and some stringy for a customer last week, but came across some wood that was bright pink inside, and bloody hard
i didnt get pics but has me stumped as to what it was. Didnt smell like iron bark or the stringy
Any one come across this before, it was scrub timber

Most of its wet Peter.....bit cold up there still? Has the snow melted yet?

I'm not sure the trailer would do too well over that distance with the weight that was in it....too risky.
going to be 11 over night ,so they say but feels colder than that, thank god im not near the snow, too bloody cold
people say snow is warm and my way of thinking is, if its warm it wouldnt be there

Rudi, did you get the recent email from the copycat mill Chinaman? Can't be any worse than what I have decided to call the woodle (wet noodle) mill. Looks like some hybrid between Lucus and woodle. Not worth the drama but interesting that he is still plugging away at it.

Yeah I saw that electric mill, seems they are trying to copy Mahoe also. I looks like they are using linear bearings for their slides, not to sure they will hold up with the sawdust etc.

Their "patented" all terrain mill is pretty much an exact copy of a lucas, friggin chinese just can't help themselves

Nice load, tyres are tucked in there pretty good.

I was worried that it wouldn't have enough travel when I bought it....it's got a rocker setup on the springs, it's only got about 60mm from the top of the tyre to the underside of the mudguard without a load on it......it still had about 30 mm travel left with the load and I checked the open eye on the leaf spring and the clearance was fine.....it felt pretty heavy behind the cruiser so I took it real easy. Some of those big logs I loaded in wet would have to be 60 - 70 kg. ...too bloody heavy to lift

Yup would have been a few tonne in it. Good suspension those chinese put in there.

what did you pay for the trailer

$3500 on the road. Got 45mm axles (1600kg), upgraded bearings and springs good for that weight and light truck tyres.

Looking for a decent aluminium checker plate tool box heavy duty to fit on the front of it.....found a place in Campbellfield called Ute safe that make great boxes but the prices are killing me.....over a grand for a 1400x500x500, same size box from Bunnings $385....but how long will it last.....no idea, but front of trailer mount it'll have to be rugged and tough.

I suggest you do good research on those boxes. Bought 2 alloy checker plate toolboxes a while ago - decided on Australian made as they had to be better and were twice the price of the china boxes. One is okay but the other one leaks like a... well a tea bag. Unfortunately some Australian products are now also made cheap and nasty to compete with others. If you can find one with a decent wall thickness it should do the job even if its made by Hou Long

The one sold at bunnings is fully welded and they call it a Rhino...Supercheap has the same box for $14 more but it an online purchase only and they add $100 for shipping, no store pickup...both ozzie made.

The ute safe boxes are the best I've ever seen.....but I don't need a box that badly when I can use the back of the cruiser

Rudy, the one that doesn't leak, what brand and where from? Will check it out.

If I remember correctly they were also Rhino boxes, Aussie made apparently. Two of the same, one was well put together the other not so much - the door was crooked and the seal was a bit dodgy. So just look out for those things when you buy it.
