Is the 288 XP lite any good?

I use picked a filthy ol dirty 288 xp lite. Ad said 288 xp turned out to be the lite model. What do you think.

thats a beauty dude, lucky to find one that nice. The mismatched recoil screws will drop the resale value though . what year?

It's a 2000. Original owner he cut up a couple ash trees with it. He told me it looked almost new. I was pretty glad I took the 30 min out of my day

Make me an offer on the whole saw I could not possibly break up such a clean original. It's hard I know the chances of finding another 288 this clean is near impossible

One of my brothers has the same 288XP Lite...runs like a scalded dog and he's had it for yrs. Nice saw and has had no problems over the years best I know.

Is the first 288 I've laid my hands on. I was surprised how light and well balanced compared to my 395

it is much more robust of a design than the later 3 series. Ive discussed the 262 and 288 with Randy several times, we both would rather have them than their later 3 and 5 series replacements.
