I would be willing to bet he will have no clue what you are talking about
 
not a clue....havent heard anymore about them or the top handle except that they are released overseas and are coming. both of them look promising but getting one in my hands and tearing it down to see what makes it tick will tell the tale
 
The model still haven't turned up on any Dolmar website I have seen?
I doubt it will with the "new" combining under the makita name. I would guess they will not put a lot of resources to separate Web sites
 
I'll prolly have my 421's catalytic convertor deleted and the saw retuned, then budget for a bigger Dolmar strato but this sure is tempting.

This is smaller and less powerful then your 421. It is lighter but I doubt it would be better other than a bit of fuel economy
