Hey all,
I locally acquired a Remington PowerLite 6 chainsaw and recently discovered that it has some problems. It has a massive crack in the crankcase. Now I'm desperately searching for a replacement crankcase and thought I'd put the word out. The part number is 64612. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. This is my first post, so it might be awhile before I figure out how to upload pics.

LOL I figured they were made of unobtainium, but thought I'd try anyway. I heard that it might be fixable with titanium putty??
I've got another PL-6, a PL-7A and an SL-7A, so if I cant get this one to run again I guess I'll just keep it for parts for the other 95cc saws.

I don't think it's legal to have that many.[emoji15]

Well fellow campers it's been over five years ago that I drug two junkers from a shed and was bitten by CAD.

Always a champion of the underdog I chose Remington to collect because they are cheap and I had little competition on evilbay.

The Logmaster heavyweights (literally!).

SL-5R gear drive, GL-7 and Pro 88.

Thanks fellas!

More later.

Found a pretty good looking PL5 in a flea market. No chance to check it out. It was in a HOT back room. Wanted $80 as is. Kinda thinking that's a little ambitious. Whaddayall think?
If it had a nice original roller-nose bar and good paint, maybe...

I'm currently working on the PL-6 w/ the cracked crankcase, I'll post pics of the procedure later. Now I'm looking for the PTO crank seal, and the large, thin O-ring that seals the crankcase as the pieces I have are bad. I believe that the crank seal is the same as the seal in a Bantam or S754. Does anybody have a link to where these parts may be available from?? THANKS!:D

Found the large O-rings on McMaster Carr, and the crank seal at Bumper to Bumper, so were all set now for a reassembly once the parts get here.
