Meets JASO FC & FD? Perhaps the marketing crew should have spent five minutes on the Internet instead of patting themselves in the back.
The FD standard is nothing more than FC with a higher detergent content. The JASO standard is not doubly applied so your oil will be either FC or FD, MA or MA2, not FC and FD, not MA and MA2.
I am sorry to sound like an oil nerd but when you deal with these things for years to an end you tend to run on autopilot.
From the label it doesn't look as if its been tested ?only that it contains the relevant "brew"to meet what a JASO test would require unless it's me & it's odd way of wording Ah see I'm not the only oneMeets JASO FC & FD? I still like Lucas.. Out of 139 other reviews , 127 of them likes it too. So, I'm not a lone-wolf in my approval.
Well; I read that over a time or two, and to me it doesn't say the oil is both FC and FD. It only states it meets the standards of those two oils.
What-ever all that means - - - - .... I like it, because it's easily accessible around here. Other brands I have are On-Line sourced .

That is incorrect. JASO and ISO set a minimum standard for lubrication, cleanliness and smoke. If JASO certified they will have a seal plus # unique to that product, not sure of ISO. Just because a manufacture claims a status does not make it true unfortunately. The FC standard is a green rating iirc, and little to do with protection of moving parts in the saw.
