Hi guys(and girls) new saw time for me, only 2nd hand though , done two winters firewood apparently, 2165, backup to my 036 for thinning forests, anywhere from 400 - 800 trees a day, as always, depending on tree size, 65cc the jonsered, 61cc the stihl, I know why people rave about the 361 if the 036 is anything the same, the weight difference between the 2165 and 036 is negligible in the real world, check the bathroom scales, both saws 1/4 tank and 18" bar/chain, they feel different although I'm used to the 036, the 2165 is identical power from what I feel, but haven't done enough with the jonsered yet to really know, the good news is the jonsered 2165 is still a LIGHT saw with a ton of grunt, ideal for 1 foot to 1 1/2 foot diameter trees, I'm picking the 2170 is heavier again, although the publicity blurb states otherwise, 044's and 375's are the next step up with their associated inconveniences, typical husky clone, had to hit the clutch off the jonsered with screwdriver and heavy pliers, still haven't sussed the tank breather either, looks to be split the case for that from a casual glance, Zama carbs on both 036 and 2165, would prefer walbro but just on name only, zamas don't seem to play up much, so grudgingly admit they're just as good as walbros, wouldn't mind running an 066 carb for kicks, maybe even grind out the ports sideways on the worn 036 with a new aip piston, but will report back on the comparison between 2165 and 036 later
