OLY-JIM...nothing complicated here. I live in Olympia and my name is Jim. In retrospect, I guess I could have used a little more imagination. But...after having had a few too many frosty beverages...It kinda had a ring to me. Oh well.

Not bad at all, easy to recognice........;)

I got one of those phone line zaps. I was outside kneeling in the wet sand working on the phone box. Oh man that made me jump and it hurt. My buddy the phone guy told me about the ring voltage. Never knew that. I worked with lots of 480-277 over the years, don't want to do it live. 120 volts kills more people in the US than any other voltage. It's the most common. I made it to be a retired electrician by not being stupid.

Ok so you must have got zapped one time too many cause you did not hold true to the thread, Whats behind the name????? Who is the person behind the AS handle and what is the reason,,,,we should automatically relate jrclen to your getting zapped onetime too many or you being a retired wire twister??????????????? :monkey: :monkey: :monkey:

Just pickin BTW

Lmao

Thats funny!!! I strip phone lines with my teeth, got thrown across a kitchen by 120, using a Gerber multi tool to strip the wire live (didn't know it). And the best I got was 60 amps of 240. Seen a guy with third degree burns on his finget tips after 460 got done with him!! I have no need for that!!

Why Heck Andy,,,,,, that explains it!!!!!

I could tell somethin was wrong with ya just by lookin @ your Avatar for cryin out loud!!!!!!!!

speakin of avatars arent you do fer a change????

Brraahaahahahhahahahah :jester: :buttkick: :ices_rofl:

Mornin Andy,,,,,,,,,,

My AS handle is admittedly pretty unimaginative. First picked it when I was doing a bit of lurking, so I didn't work too hard at it.

My first name is Bill and I am a wood turner. As I recall simply 'Turner' was already taken.

:dizzy: well in my particular case i thought it would be cool to have a nickname of my first old collectable new husqvarna....never did i think of the results (like everybody else:monkey: ) some people have all the luck, and this time it was me:clap:

Thats funny right there :spam: :spam:

We run some carrier over copper, and it packs 270+ volts and our high voltage DSL is packing 380+ volts... It will light up your day when you stick a bare wire in your hand.

My buddy got whacked in the face with Conklin running 270 volts :dizzy:

My first Harley was a 58 duo-glide. was already taken when i first got my computer so I switched it to hydra glide, (Pre 1958 hardtail bike with juicer (hydraulic front end)). I use it here and everywhere. Easier to remember. She came home as a barn fresh pile of parts and about 6 months later she left a trail of primary oil from southwest michigan to Sturgis S.D.! Ohh the good ole days! Wish I still had here. Oh hey I did just bring home a barn fresh 65 husky. disassemble it cleaned the grease and hay chaff out of it, threw on a new 24" B+C and I'll be d@m$ed if it didnt run! I think I have a small air leak somewhere though so I'll add it to my sig after she's ready for active duty!(it was payment from a friend for bucking up a 130 Y.O. red oak trunk he dug out of his alfalfa field with the trusty 2100. Dont get no better then that!

We all have handles/nic-names etc. and most don't go by their real names here on this forum. This was asked by my wife (there's a cop-out) anyway I told her I would ask the guys and gals anyway. So fire away.

Rotax Robert
Now this totally confuses this old farm boy.How could a person that started thread be banned? Is it something in the water, per chance ?

My name is Doug Walby, so I can usually get dwalby as a user name on just about any computer forum out there being that my last name is pretty uncommon (and all my relatives are illiterate)

But on AS a lot of you live in fairly rural places with a lot of open land, which makes sense since this forum is about chainsaws. I live just outside the San Diego city limits, so that's why I went with cityboy, 'cause there just don't seem to be many big city folks on this forum.

Here's a couple pictures of the fire I took from my driveway the other day.

My two best buddies are two cattle dogs that work with me most days working cows. My license plate is SNGDOGS which stands for song dogs. My dogs love to howl esp if coyotes are around and coyotes are called song dogs. Kinda boring I know but then so am I. My wife and two kids help with firewood chores and also help with the cattle. I work for a horse logging outfit several months each year too. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Real name is Bill Kiff. ( No Germans here?)

Everybody called my Grandpa Fuzzy.

Everybody calls my Dad Fuzzy.

My Uncle, Dad's youngest brother, is called Fuzzy by many of his friends.

My friends started calling me Fuzzy when I was in high school. My buddy Roo said "too many Fuzzys, we need to come up with something different to keep you guys straight", so he tried Fonzie, but added an "L" one day to Fuzly. Those were the days, Fuzly, Poncho, Roo, Trappy, and Clemmy all over the countryside in the old Chevy. (yes, we all had nicknames)

Now, most people just call me Dan, but if I her Fuzzy or Fuzly I know it's somebody I grew up with.
