I was thinking more like smoke signals...but I've done that as well. I'm only kidding if the California Air Resources Board is reading this thread. Same thing with the deleted diesel comments I made as well...šŸšØ šŸ¤£

On a side note, is it's really annoying what my local dump charges me for used dirtbike tires. They have 2 different prices for tires based on overall diameter...my moto tires are 18" and 21" rim diameter, and of course, technically fall under the large diameter number. I used to be an acquaintance of the guy that worked the gate and he'd just give me a nice round number for whatever dirtbike tires I was trying to get rid of. What he charged wasn't any advertised amount, but it made sense, as there really isn't much rubber in a moto tire...it was even less than the lower of 2 advertised amounts.

Anyway, he's moved on and the new guy is a stickler for the rules. He was trying to charge me nearly $20 per tire for my moto tires. 'Eff that noise...I'll just dice them up with a sawzall and sneak them into my residential trash pickup.

Does your county or township have a tire dump day? We get to drop 12 tires once a year for free. (Just passenger tires and over sized tires cost money) it's a bit of a scheme, they don't really announce it, and you have to register a few months in advance, but it's available every year.
The county does once a year but it isn't announced well and the dump site is 20 miles from our area. People throw their tires, TVs, mattresses and furniture in the ditches and our township cleans it up at taxpayer expense.

I was supposed to go take down a couple Maples at a friend's house tomorrow but another feller (see what I did there?) cut them down. I still get the wood though, just have to go over and the excavator guy will load the logsView attachment 1075279

You suck!:chainsaw:

Birch scrounge! So we offered (which means wife offered knowing I'll take free firewood) to clean up a tree that had fallen in a friend's elderly parent's house in town. Someone had cut most of it into manageable lengths, which meant the large parts were short enough, but the smaller branches were left at 10'. Since it was in a residential area and the owners weren't home, I decided to borrow an electric saw from one of my daughter's coaches to cut it up so i didn't attract attention. He likes it a lot and had offered to let me try it previously and this seemed like the perfect use case.

Already have a few requests for birch logs for decoration. I'm going to have to start directing people to my Etsy store! LOL20230415_154057.jpg20230415_154507.jpg20230415_182210.jpg
