Today's splitting fun. First photo is what my splitting area pile looked like when I started this morning. The second photo is what it looked like when I finished. Also out in the far back of the pile right side is a pile I split and quartered.

They work 👍
They do, I've turned a good number of guys onto them.
I just meant the wood hauler packed with firewood! There fixed it. :drinkingcoffee:

Lots of nice color in the back of that Stang! :drinkingcoffee:

Yes they do. Thank you whoever shared that link a few months ago. I now have them for 4 of my saws. :drinkingcoffee:
Welcome if it was me :).

I need a (couple) knee replacements but posts like this spook me.
It’s a crap shoot, my best buddy
He watched his mom go through a tuff rehab
So when his pops gets it done, builds him a ramp to get in his place. His pop scolds him for waisting the lumber. Has ZERO issues

Meanwhile, his pops is more than a bit on the “heftier” side

I don’t get it….

Said it before and I’ll say it again

Blessed to work for guys that give back so much to my local community

Healey really is a great organization

Yeah, we aren’t perfect as we are run by humans

But the two brothers have hearts and give back a ton

This is from the Cancer Fundraiser

Camped out on Anthony's nose. In the right nostril...*ba dum ching*
If you looked closely, you can still see the metal in the rock where the old fire tower was attached. Too bad they removed that one, it would have been a nice view.

They restored the one to the North on North Mt. Beacon (after others baulked, Camp Smith soldiers finally did it) and one NE on Mt. Ninham in Carmel. (Named after Chief Ninham). He and his son died fighting the British as Washington and his troops escaped across the East River in NYC. They were part of the group that stayed behind to fight. Those are the only two fire towers that I know of that remain in Putnam County.

100% correct on the Stamina comment

Ever since the Rona, I still have strength, but nowhere near the stamina. I was about GASSED OUT after loading the truck the last two days.

Embarrassing!!

I used to be able to go full throttle for 8hrs, now I’m a chump

My pop told me to hit the treadmill to get my wind back, I should really give it a honest try

Last night I was out splitting rounds after work. Started off with the fiskers x27 and the iso core for the tougher stuff. I petered out pretty quickly and switched to the splitter. The kids are still too little to help and my wife was "busy." I'd bet I got ~1/2 cord split. Kinda looked at the pile of splits after i was done and stacking and thought I did a good job.
After reading this mornings posts, in reflection I didn't get near as much done as I used to. Rona didn't really get me, it was the heat stroke I had 5 years ago. I've never been 100% since it. Heck an 80* day about knocks the wind out of my sails. Getting older sucks lol. I hope when I'm 60 I'll still be able to heat with wood and get around like some of you older fellas.

Similar story here. I had a heat stroke 4 years ago, then covid in Apr 2020 almost killed me. I have never gotten back to where I was. I have to be really careful in the heat but in general I just cant go on all day like before I had the rice rabies.

I think it’ll be a long time before we fully understand what that crud does to people.

My knees are. Plus, getting to Montana isn't cheap anymore.
The worst part is going down a steep incline , with a pack for me ,for a couple miles, I’d much rather go up , especially in the White Mts , those trails can be brutal, ur just hopping from rock to rock a lot times,

My best dealer here said he does not recommend using that and I never have used it on the 362. I do have to use it on the MS441.
I'll use them as I like the less stress on my shoulders.
They’re fixable, but in my observation it’s 50/50 on wether the rehab is fun or miserable

My pops and my BFF mom- miserable
My BFF dad and guy at work- no problems
I had no issues with my replacement. I know a few others that had no issues. I do know one woman that didn't follow what she was told to do and had issues with scar tissue. I pushed my left knee to the limit and beyond during rehab. Having that done was the best thing that ever happened to me. It sure is better than walking bone on bone.

Go for it and do your rehab. The people that had issues after surgery didn't work hard enough to break the scar tissue. That is the main reason for the horror stories.
I wish you would stop saying that. That is not ALWAYS the case. It's offensive and I'm done talking about that with you.

Fixed

So what, then tell him to come start the saw for you. I don't recommend using them, or even having them on saws, but if it's what it takes, then that's just part of the risk/cost factor involved. Or you could go buy a newer easy-start saw, they actually work quite well.
Wonder if he recommends the "D" handles .

Good morning guys.

Opening firearms deer hunting today. I did not go out. I know there is one small buck working the area and that’s it. I’d rather my son have a shot at him than me. We have almost no deer left up here thanks to wolves and the governments unwillingness to do anything about them.

I’m going to have brunch and maybe play some cards or dice with my daughter and then do some grouse hunting when it warms up.
