What if your chainsaw was completely noiseless. Would you like to run it?

Try watching Nascar sometime with the volume turned off. :)

Yes I would love to run saws without the engine noise. I would even pay extra to have less noise. For me noise is not part of what I enjoy.

There would still be lots of cutting sounds from the chain and severing and removal of fibers that I would enjoy much more. More real feedback on the real task at hand.

I realize I am in a tiny minority, though. And don't get me wrong, I do love power!

I dont think saws without noise would be any fun. when the stihl timbersports was in town last year the hot saws would only have been half the fun if they didnt make any noise.

I propose that the ones who like noisy saws are the same ones who end up getting raged sometimes and throwing their tools and stomping their feet. Also, they're more apt to "port" a saw and slow it down substantially, while simultaneously thinking they've made it faster. :)

so.... acid or basic? Blue or red? Neutral just won't cut it on AS...

i am anything but neutral.

i may be acidic. some say i have an 80-grit personality. i guess that would be concidered abrasive though.:)

color wise: i guess i'm echo grey. but slowly turning stihl orange.
are those litmus colors?:)

maybe i am neutral.

i am the guy that throws things and stomps them in to oblivion at times.
but i am also the guy who when he opens up his mufflers he under sizes the hole slightly and tunes just below max rpm.:)
