028 super with 032 engine?

Going to be picking up a 028 super tomorrow from an older gentleman. He claims the previous owner put an 032 engine in it. Has anyone heard of this before? The saw has a 24" bar on it and seems in decent condition.

Well...I'll never say never, so I'm not 100% positive... but the saws are not related in any way whatsoever. A big fish story, I'm afraid..

I don't know what the benefit would be. The super is 46mm and the 032 is 45mm.

So I went and picked up the saw today and talked to the guy about it and found that he had been told by the dealer he bought it from that it had the same size engine as the 032 from factory. It looks to be in great shape. Probably need a carb kit and new fuel lines etc from setting. Ground out a stump in trade for it.
