Want to Buy 28" bar for poulan 4000

Looking for a 28" bar, prefer used, but will buy new as long as it is priced cheaper than can be bought from a retailer.

I believe the d176 mount is what I'm after.

Try Guido a member here. His selling a bunch of saws right now and just might have a bar.

If you can makeup some spacers to go from 5/16 bar studs to the 9mm mount slot you can use a D009 Husqvarna mount 93 DL bar on your saw and it will end up using a 92 dL chain just like the D176 mount does.

Probably eaiser and cheaper to find a new or used Husky bar.

True, it is a thin spacer. There were some manufatures who used just that spacer as standard equipment on there saws, so not a big deal.

If it makes it eaiser, 5/16 to 3/8 spacers are easy to come up with and would only take 5 minutes with a file to enlarge the 9mm slot to 9.5mm-3/8".
