have the prices gone up?

i called a place two weeks ago for the price on PHO - $650
then called again today cause i couldn't find the paper i wrote the price down on - $680

Anything ordered after Dec 1st went up in price. So it could be an issue of old stock/new stock. Or it could just be the guy hasn't got much of a memory.

680$ thats it? 960$ is what I would pay for one at my local dealer. I would much rather pay 680$ for one.

Wouldn't doubt it. It seems everything you go to buy these days is rising in cost daily. Maybe your dealer was just shooting a random price. I doubt dealers like talking price over the phone. Price shopping is a delicate thing and they probably think you are hunting for the best possible deal.

Kinda off topic, but fender has raised their MSRP on a lot of amps. I guess some as much as 50%. So I imagine other things to go up as well. Just look at the new small homeowner stihl saws, over 10% price increase.

I bought a new 372xpw about 4 weeks ago, $690 PHO or $720 with any bar and chain combo I wanted. I opted for a 24" bar and a semi-chisel chain. I couldn't be happier. $650 -$680 PHO sounds pretty good. REJ2

i paid around $800 for mine.

$680 seems more than fair.

Just paid $789 for mine with 2 x-tra chains and a bunch of other things like oil, cover, files hat and gloves.
