Have a couple of the 6 cube saws. I think my next will be a 2100 Husqvarna, or perhaps a 750 Homelite, Mac 125, or whatever comes my way.

Check out the milling section tomorrow night, there will be a few action shots.

No action shots Saturday, It was spitting all morning and turned to a steady cold rain.

I did get the Gentleman 6 nice 3" planks @ 9'x24-28" wide (Trunk was 18',we had to cut them in half to lift them). We thought it was White Oak, but it sure turned red when it got wet!

He insisted that I take one home, so here are a few shots,

Yeah Lee,

I do luv 'em, sure wish I would have pushed the button on the 153 you had last spring.

If you ever part with another,PM me.

Thanks, mo

A few more:

do love them 6 cube Sachs Dolmars, hope a few more find their way here.

I am also liking the 1100/2100CD

Have six 6 cubers, guess that keeps everything square for now.

Rep to you--thanks for reviving this thread about big ones. I recently picked up a Homelite Super 1050 and it's in very nice shape. Now I need to run it against my 95cc Dolmar 143 and 99cc 064 BB I recently completed. Looking forward to the Battle of the Titans. But the rain won't stop out this way so I'm stuck at home another weekend.

And what's the deal with keeping your workbench so clean? You must be a sick man... LOL

Best 6 cube saw. I can't answer that simply don't have enough time with many. I happen to own a working (its used for blocking) Homelite XP1020A, a Solo603, and a Jonsered 2094 (close). I have owned a Homelite 1130G and a McCulloch 797 that I used to mill with. I've run a Husqvarna 3120.

I like the Solo 603 the best from that lot to run for most things. The McCulloch 797 was a very very capable saw and I liked it as well. I milled almost 3500 board ft of hard maple and ash into planks with it. So from my mix of experiences I would say the McCulloch797 is the best because it stood the test of time and still was a useful saw for me. The Solo pushed my XP1020A into retirement for the big wood. My XP1020A never really impressed me after running that McCulloch 797 and Solo 603. If I could pull the Jonsered 2094 over easier IT would be the best in the lot..just it has no compression release and stupid high compression to where you dread starting it for fear of tearing up the pull starter. From a chain speed perspective in wood under 30 inches that Jonsered 2094 will out run all the big saws I have. Its an animal!

Haven't ran all too many, but I do know that when milling some 28 inch Red Oak, and the carb on my 153 flaked out.

Switched the mill over to my 143 (95cc) that good running 143 seemed a whole bunch smaller than the 153, not just 5cc.

They both have 55mm bore, must be that extra stroke that makes the 153 pull so hard.

I just got my first 6 cube saw on Friday, so it's my favorite.

It fires up and sounds strong, and I checked compression on it this morning to make sure the $280 I spent on it with the 28 and 36 inch bars was a good deal.................148-152 pounds on 5 pulls. I can't wait to see how it cuts through some Oak.
