661 muffler mod

My 661 is out of warranty now, so wondering if a muffler mod is beneficial for these? Does the M-Tronic compensate mixture okay? If a muff mod is beneficial how much, and where do I remove? Cheers

Take a look at Stihl's dual port muffler cover,Baileys might have a aftermarket one also. You could modify yours based on the design of either one.

They don't make a dual port cover for a 661.

They rip pretty good with a muffler mod.

Just get er' breathin.

Yes and yes. Remove the internal cage and open up the factory exit as much as the deflector will cover, all the way back and all the way to both sides. Install a more open mesh screen.
