2100 husky without a doubt but a low idling 10-10 with a reed muffler sounds good to me!

Not a Zip/Wiz but basically the same thing. Love the sound of that saw.

Being run by Warped5 at the 2013 Indiana GTG. Video is by Cowroy.

I would throw my 7-21 in the same group. All those sort of homelites sound the same.
it might be my favourite. Such a nice sharp pop. Most of the others are a loud low growl.

Not a single mention of a Jonny 111S, for the oldies it gets my vote for sure smooooth and almost a certain whistle in the cut. love it

166 sound is rockin for sure. I still remember Uncle Lees' 8 counting them off.

I have several 2100/1100s and they have a sound all their own.

My personal favorite is the 152/153 series the 166s 'little" older Brother.

My favorite is my 044 with a MM ........
But if I close my eyes and listen to my Mac 10-10 ..........idle, revving, or in the cut ................. its on the list !!!

All of you guys must have forgotten about the Solo twin.

I agree with Andy. I love the sound of the Twin.
If we are talking ported saw, It would be hard for me to pick between a 346 and a 372.

Later

Best sounding saw I ever ran was a Mac PM 850. Best sounding saw I ever owned was my Remington PL 4 with a stack muffler.

Actually 19%. I just put that in as a joking name for other. One of my favorites is in there. (solo rex)

You must read the words,
that's the problem with polls, they box people into a finite set of "choices". 60% is really a low number, since clearly more respondents voiced that their choice was not even there.
I am proud to say if I did vote, it would put me in the class of "no taste" not many want to see themselves in that light eh?

I voted "no taste".

First run for my ported 390XP last evening, just a few big hickory logs that have been down a year. Combination of scream-rev and go-ahead-and-push-torque outta' this 210psi Swede makes it my fav for now.

I used all possible boxes, and there was at least 10 I had to leave out. (solo rex, dolmar kms4, sachs 166, Jonsereds 111s, comet diesel, disston da-211, pioneer 450, solo twin, echo 610evl, ect) And that was just my list of picks. I am realizing there are just too many cool sounding saws for this poll system. If I was doing this again, it would be which brand made the best sounding saw.

McC Super 250 has a very special sound to it. I really like the music from a larger P series Pioneer too, but I could never pick any over the sound of a 6 cube Homelite.
