What is a good line-up of chainsaws to have for a tree service business? I like stihl. I have a Stihl 044, Stihl 192t, Husqavarna 42, Husqavarna 350, echo 360t. What should I be adding?

A 660 as mentioned by Scooterbum. I would also get a 200T and keep one of your other tophandles as a back-up. Preferably the 192 since the harware swaps out. The 350 works great as a saw for groundwork.

On the truck is usually a Stihl ht131, 2 200t and that’s it for stihl. Usually also carry a 346xp, dolmar 5100, a 372xp and either a dolmar 7900 or 395xp depending on the work. The ms361 and ms440 usually in the shop collecting dust or are just used for firewood cutting. Tree work kinda slow right now but snow removal is booming.

A common line up around here is
MS200T w/ 16" bars

MS250 or Husky 350's w/ 16" bars for the new guys on the ground, cheap and easily replaced if they break it.

Husky 357's or Stihl 361/2's wtih 20" bars

Stihl 04/440 or 460's usually with a 28-32" bar

HT131 Polesaw. 12" bar

They'll have a big saw that can run a 36" bar but most jobs don't require that big of a saw. But since this saw usually gets very little use I have a lot of 2100's, 084's and similar 100cc+ saws still in service.

My saw line up for my company is.
-Stihl 192tc
-Stihl 200t
-Stihl 021
-Stihl 260 Pro (No company is complete without at least one of them)
-Stihl 044
-Stihl 066 Mag
You must have a 192t or 200t for climbing and a 260 for the little bit larger stuff and the groundies. If you can get your hands on a good ms 360 pro that would fit in quite well to. Thats my $.2

Mine is starting to come together.. not all running yet. Need time to get them done

ms 210
ms 026
ms 029
ms 440

I dont have the 440 yet. I have to make the trip to Monroe to finish out the trade.

The Stock 084 is faster than the Stock 088 with 32" and .404.

I have never run a 084 so I can not compare. If I want fast in a big saw I grab my 105 cart saw. As for the 088. When I go to the Stihl dealer for new parts the ipl for my saw 7 years from now will not have a bunch of NLA beside the parts.

I only have one saw i dont cut that much anymore

026 pro

If i needed one more saw i would get a 460. But this saw is plenty for now.

What have you done with the 088? Is it still a stocker?
