The EPA killed the car industry...
Care to explain that? Seems to me that cars last FAR longer than they used to, require far less maintenance, and get far better fuel mileage.

And we have proven over time, that the 441 is one example of exactly that. For a long time all you read was how much weaker the 441 was and how it didn't take to mods. That was simply not the truth, period. It was nothing more than fear and/of lack of understanding what was new.
I'm leaning more on the side of hurry up and wait. A lot of beta stuff has bugs. . .
Could be, but sometimes when people get an idea in their heads something is bad, no matter what the truth is, it's a POS. I see this all the time, with all walks of life.
To stir the pot some more the Husky auto tune seems smoother and smarter, IMHO it's the better of the two systems.otstir:
Ill tell ya what brad, build up your M-Tronic 441 and ill build up my 50mm 044 and we'll have us a showdown. Whatch say?
Add the 576, it's laid out a lot better than the 441, it would take nothing to tear down a 576.In those reguards, Husky got it right with the 372 XT.
I say it would be fun, reguardless of the outcome However, just being the fastest doesn't make one better than the other, in and of itself. I prefer a 044/440 myself, but much of the technology in the 441 is far superior to that in the 440. They are very strong stock and take very well to mods. I simply don't like the added weight, bulkiness, and overly complex construction. In those reguards, Husky got it right with the 372 XT.
For the dollar amount of 441 you can buy a 6CC bigger saw that is old school and is a proven saw. The 441 is fine for someone who is not depending on the saw to work in life and limb situations. The newer cars are a joke, you have to be a computer programer to work on them. The old cars were no brainer to fix. We have become a society that has lost the repair it your self attitude. I learned to fix throw away saws just to be able to get work, and now we have to have a computer do our thinking for us no thanks
There's some truth no doubt, but even the 575 had AT carbs and from what I know they worked out fine, the rest of the saw is another story.
Weight, bulkiness and complexity. U hit it on the head.

Brad, I knew a guy in the mid 1980's, driving a 1970's Honda car, and was pulling like 45mpg. . . Now all these new cars tout like 30 HWY, and toot their horn like they just invented sliced bread.
If the new technology is so bad then maybe we should go back to posting letters and dont use the internet any more ?.Do you have a mobile phone ?.
And that's where the buyer has to decide what's important to him. There are several things the 441 brings to the table that are significantly improved over the 440. Me, and you, choose the 044/440 hybrid
