Yes, height by width by length. Measure in inches and convert to feet by dividing each number by 12 first, then multiply them all out (I did spend 6 years in engineering school. LOL)

Huge help thank you.

so that gives my fire box 1.5 cubic feet.

So if I upgrade from 1.5 to a 2.0 or 2.1 square foot fire box, do you guys find it as a big difference in heat output an burn times?

A 30 inch cylinder 48 inches long contains 19.635 cubic feet. ie. pi x radius squared x length radius = 1.25 feet length = 4 feet

LOL You have obviously never tried to fill it and keep it full. Yes you are correct 19.625
It will make a heaping wheel barrel full of wood disappear overnight.

I am no math genius

I used the diameter as opposed to the radius... Big difference aye?
If I had a 75 cubic feet firebox maybe I could get 24 hour burns like a lot of these guys here get.
