I think those are for the smaller homelite saws. At least the first one was .325 pitch. Here is the list of saws that should take the bar I need.
35SL, 330, 350, 360, SUPER XL, SUPER XL-AO, XL-12, XL-15
I couild be wrong about the ones you listed, as I said I am quite ignorant of the model line up of the homies

You are correct. Those are A061 mount bars for the top handle XL2 saws. You need D096/D196/TXL mount bars for your saw. The confusion comes from Homelite's reuse of "XL" with different saw families.

PM me if you are interested in 16" bars that I have to trade. Used Homelite and a new Oregon. They take 60 DL loops of 3/8-.050G.

Sorry for the bad info, lol. Thanks for picking me up Aaron. I am always looking for big bars for the big saws, the small stuff is not my expertise.

I still think that you can find a decent bar on Ebay, many times there are blown up saws with good bars for sale. This one below is not the best deal but you can see what I mean.

Dealing with Aaron is much better anyways!!:msp_wink:

I'll take the clutch. :D

Bad Randy. You can have that clutch if you come take it in person from the owner (I don't own the saw........just fixing it for a friend). I wouldn't recomend it though. They're tough old loggers with lots of land to burry folks in. You may end up spending an extended vacation under a redwood root ball....:D

No problem JP. Thanks for the good word. Last weekend I picked up a Super E-Z that looks almost exactly like that one from a friend. Will make a good runner. Gotta pull it apart and decarbon the cylinder first however, as the ex port has tons of buildub and it's JUST starting to scratch the piston. Has a rim drive drum on it already too. Those S E-Z saws use a K095 mount bar BTW...

I found an old box, filled with miscellanous Homelite parts, maybe 20 year old or so, i can put a picture of the small pile if youre interested, they are NOS, and i am not selling them i think nor trading, as they might be useful someday, but it was nice to find something old,un used stuff.

Aaron, I think we will be picking this up on the way south.

Spread 'em out and shoot some pictures. We'd like to see your treasures.

or north a bit.:msp_wink:

I think you and I are both out of luck on this one Fraser (unless Randy doesn't want to keep it because it's the wrong color). The seller just returned my email asking him for his phone # (so I could see the saw this weekend). He told me he's committed to sell to someone on Saturday morning but will call me if the deal falls through. I think I know the Knothead who he's committed to sell it to. I hope Randy's the "someone".....:D

yep, that be me. We can take a close look at it Saturday.

I'm really glad to hear it's you and not some jackass ebay saw flipper (or 'saw maggot' as JJ calls them).

I returned the guy's email, telling him that if the guy who he's committed to selling the saw to was named Randy M, that we'd both be seeing that person the same day as my reason for being up that way was to visit you. Also told him that in that case I'll end up seeing the saw when you show it to me later on Saturday.

Oh that right - he was looking for a Super XL, not a Super EZ..... got my letters jumbled up. I actually have one of those too. And it is attached to a saw that runs.

Those saws are all over Ebay.... Homelite made them for a long time.

Ok, Homey gurus, I need some background on the XP series. I'm goingv to look at one tomorrow, unsure which model exactly, just that its a direct drive XP. Its solid red (what paint is left) with the green handle.

Things it would be handy to know:

Where's the model # found on these?

Are any of the series significantly better/worse than the rest?

Any parts prone to being broke I need to watch for? Parts made from unobtanium?

Rough idea of value with a decent sized bar (30+), not running, but turns over? I will know more about spark, comp tomorrow, but gonna have to make my decision on site, kind of a drive to it.

Thanks!
