I was looking at one tonight. It has a plastic body on the bottom side, does this make it a non-pro?

It's heavy, is it a good saw?

Basically, it is a 575xp with a smaller engine, making the power to weight ratio pretty bad (low).

The crankcase itself is magnesium, not plastic.
 
The plastic on the bottom is the forward part of the fuel tank, not the crankcase. This saw is kind of heavy for it's displacement, and a poor seller. A Red Max version is on the way, which will also be a poor seller. :givebeer:

I agree that doesn't make much sence at all, unless they price it at bargain level.
