Here in Wisconsin, I've heard both "still" and "steel" Close enough. But this IS Stihl country up here so when someone says Husky, we say who cares...

The beauty of German is it is much like English as far as pronunciation, and sentence structure. Stihl, is pronounced in German, as Stihl (steel). The English pronunciation is skewed, it should actually be (in proper English) still. It was not pronounced steel because of some macho fetish. In German, it is pronounced that way because Andreas Stihl started the company.

With the move towards being PC today I wonder if this could be intrepeted as "descrimination"??? :p
