A guy that works for me has an old Husqvarna 181 SE he is wanting to sell. Does anyone know what this thing might be worth. It is a 1984 model. Overall condition is ok. Does not have a chainbrake on it. It does have about 180 psi of compression though. Saw does run.

hi i'll try to just revive this thread instead of starting another

i have a husky 181 se that use for falling and bucking to prep for chainsaw milling. it was running well until the other day when it quit on me bucking a big red cedar and now it wont run for more than a couple seconds. spark is good, fuel and filter is good, air is good. should i put a carb kit in it ? i ran a couple tanks of really rich (about 1:32) mix before that but it was running well with better mix. also that rich mix was the wrong oil, water cooled instead of air cooled, would that have really fouled things up ? like i said it only got a tank or two of it. any help would be appreciated. thanks
