I am in need of a replacement for an 018 that has seen better days. I am looking for a good saw with good power to weight ratio. I have a Dolmar 5100, and a 372xpw, so keeping it small and light is the primary objective. I will use it for limbing, and doing some TSI work around the farm/woodlots. I have a lot of cedar(under 12") and other trash trees to keep down. The 018 served me well, but it was lacking in power. I would like to stay with a good quality saw that will last longer than the 018. Its been a good little saw, but is pretty limited.
SO a few of the choices I have been looking at are the ms 200(no need for a top handle) the 339xp. The 339 is pretty ugly, but does handle well. On the Stihll website they list the ms200 as an 'occasional use' saw, but I thought it was the same as the 200t in the pro class(for the price it better be!).
What saw will work the best, and last the longest?
