I am sure you are right, but it doesn't seem to make much differense in the real world, does it - except making them harder to work on?

:givebeer: :givebeer:
Depends on what your doing. Changing main bearings is less time intensive and requires less speciality tools on the homeowner level vs the pro level.

Perogative, I agree with, but...

The way I sees it is if I wanna fly through my car window its my perogative.
I dont care how many laws they make if I dont feel like buckling up im not gonna.

I don't disagree that it is your choice, however... Since your auto insurance only covers up to a maximum dollar amount, and if you are an employed person with health insurance provided through your employer, and you are out of work due to an injury, you then become a burden of the state if you survive the crash. This only applies if you survive and cannot return to your employer. Most people are wrong to assume that your employer must keep you on the books if you cannot return to work. That is not true. You can be let go, and wait to get on disability. Now you are on Medicaid, and therefore your care is governed (and paid for) by the state (and taxpayers). Therefore, I can only assume that the seatbelt laws are not only in place to protect people (which they do) but to also protect the states from runaway trauma center bills that end up on the Medicaid tab. In my business I see the effects of seatbelts and their use and lack thereof. I have only seen a handful of people killed or maimed by their seatbelts, but MANY more hurt because they weren't wearing them. Airbags, only seen one child with a broken neck from the old style airbag. But of course he was unrestrained in the back seat thrown forward against a fast moving airbag... Now, back to chainsaws...

I can agree with you provide you are willing to sign a document to give up all right to claim any benefit resulting from injury cause by the accident. That you don't look for goverment disability, don't look for free medical benefit, don't look for goverment assist on housing. I think it is fair. You should have your choice. You just have to be TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE TO YOUR DECISION. I support you all the way.

But if you are thinking for a moment that you are going to have goverment pay for your irresponsible decision, then you are selfish and dead wrong. There is no other way to look at it. YOU PLAY YOU PAY!!!!! That is just fair. And please don't ask your family to pay for your mistake if that happen.

But if you insist on play and other people pay, make sure you vote for "White Water" or Osama!!!! Then good honest responsible people will have to pay for your erresponsibleness if that happen.
