Except the Tsumura bars aren't really a light weight bar. More like barely reduced weight bar. I would go with stihls light weight bar if you’re after a true light weight bar.

For a homeowner that really doesn't matter. Clearly not a professional if running a 20" bar on a 460. Comes down to does the owner want a true light weight bar or a bar that's reduced in weight and will last slightly longer.

Also they are they same price. $75 each.

"Just in case anyone is interested in the weights in grams, the bars I receieved weighed 908 grams and 1161 grams (20" and 24/25"). Few other bars I've bought and weighed at work when they came in: Tsumura Light and Tough 20" for Stihl: 983 grams; Husqvarna Techlite 20": 950 grams (no longer sold); Sugihara lightweight 20" for Stihl: 998 grams."

"2010 The Rollomatic ES Light guide bar was developed. Empty spaces are milled out and welded shut using a special laser technique. This creates a stable hollow frame with a flexible outer and substructure.

This history continues through today. Weighing in at just 780 grammes, the latest development − the STIHL Rollomatic ES Carbon − is the world’s lightest 63cm guide bar. Even though the carbon guide bar will only be available as a special limited edition, it demonstrates that we at STIHL continue down the path set by our company founder Andreas Stihl of making it easier for people to work and live with nature."

Wow 780 grams ES carbon bar!

I've heard this before so when I ordered a much smaller 16" for my much smaller 50cc I ordered a regular solid milled Tsumura. It looks good too ;)

20" Cannon rip bar for my Dolly 7910, not cheap...

I ran a 20" on my 460 a lot cutting firewood. I sold wood for money. Am I not a professional?

Borderline. Around here at least. I'd grab a smaller saw if I had to cut a lot of wood but was only running a 20" bar. Guess what I really meant was a timber faller. Lot's of those here in the PNW

Thanks buddy, I kinda think of you as "borderline" too :). I hadn't been able to put my finger on the word, but now that your said it, it clicked.

I love these West coast guys. If you ain't running 32" bars on a 70cc saw with big-ass dogs, you don't know anything.

Respect to the west coast guys for safely putting down BIG timber.

But let them bury their saw in a long dead sugar maple and then come talk to the eastern boys about what bar length is acceptable for a given saw. ;)
