no he definitely has a job or more likely a home business. maybe a machine shop. much of his stuff is not cheap and I don't take him as a government handout type.

I have several hatchets but wanted one I just throw in the box on the splitter so I picked up a Harbor Freight cheapo $7. It sharpened well & holds an edge well.

I've been swinging a hatchet quite a bit lately. I've got one of those Estwing's that was given to me for my birthday probably 25+ years ago. It's good, but a little on the light side. My favorite is a Cobalt from Lowe's, but it took a bunch of filing...like most things these days.
