Makita - rebranded Dolmar

Seems we have the Makita saws in NZ now which are being marketed as a rebranded Dolmar. Does anyone know anything about makita saws? I'm looking at the model DCS4610. Any info about this saw would be much appreciated.

Acording to this Web page, it says that a Makita DC4610 is a Dolmar 5100.

My guess is Dolmar 4605, the 45 or 46cc version of the 5105.

There used to be a 4600S outside the US, but the Makita version of that probably was called DCS4601. DCS is for Dolmar ChainSaw.

That was a cool stunt, but it has to be a bit cumbersome to start 24 saw engines before you can drive....

Makita chain saws are made by Dolmar. Most of the saws are still made in Germany, but that small one, I am not so sure about it.

Makita bought Dolmar from Sachs in the early 1990s, as far as I know.
