I'm not sure I'd call it demarketing Edwin. I've been scheduling work since August of last year. I just take work for a few weeks, schedule it the way I want to do it......then stop taking it again. I don't want any "help", so I just do what I'm comfortable with. At one time I had 14 men working for me.......and the headaches never stopped. These days it's just me and Jon.......and we are beginning to set certain hours. We've been getting a few cattle, some more land, and we have worn out farm equipment to fix........

Great perspective Randy. I'll try my bestest to get a time slot this time around. Now, which saw? Decisions, decisions...

What's your point other than an attempt to put Brad down, not nice.

Attempt to put Brad down? My interest isn't to put him down. My interest is to make sure honest and accurate information is being put out on this forum. His blinding bias is so deep rooted, it is impossible for him to give honest input. That fault doesn't make him a bad choice for port work for some but it does make him a bad choice for me. That is why, in December, Randy will be getting my 600p. Not trying to put anyone down, just calling it like I see it.

PS: Stay tuned because next year there will be some awesome vids posted on this site. And they won't all be about Echo's.

EDIT: Plus, I don't care for his arrogant, elitist, attitude.

Brad is an excellent person! You are lacking in your judgment! If you can't say nice things about folks on here you need to grow up and act like a man!

Hey bud, I never said he wasn't an excellent person...I said he is extremely biased and arrogant. Everyone has faults and he is no exception. Because I give opinions you don't like doesn't mean I'm not grown up or not a man. On the contrary, it's a weak, childish, immature person who can't handle others opinions. Maybe you are one of many people in this country who were raised with an entitlement mentality. Opinions are fine so long as they don't offend you, right? Everyone wins a blue ribbon in life, right? Just so you know, not everyone lives in "your" world.

Well good thing you're here to point out others faults, is that position an elected one or appointed or did you just grab the bull by the horns.

Talk about weak and immature that's what it sounds like you are in your statements. Behave in here or go away!

You are lacking in your judgment!

I'm lacking in judgement? Well, lets take a deeper look at who might be lacking in judgement. Recently, on another thread, Andyshine's video was posted comparing his Echo 590 and his ported Stihl 361. Here is the vid:

Brad had this to say about that comparison: "Sorry but those two saws aren't near as close as that video would suggest. The 361 wasn't tuned near to potential, and that size wood isn't big enough to show the difference."

I responded with: "Posts like this is why I have to take everything you say with a grain of salt. Are you seriously attempting to justify why these two saws were so close? The fact that the 590 is a MM'd homeowner saw and the 361 is a ported pro saw makes your statement so ridiculous it's laughable. THESE TWO SAWS SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CLOSE!

The 361 sounded a little rich but cleaned up pretty nice in the cut but my hearing isn't great. You could also make the same point for the 590. It was almost brand new (on it's second tank) and was tuned a little rich as well. Your bias is so glaringly obvious to everyone but you."

Making excuses for why a brand new, $400 homeowner saw cut close to a ported pro saw is absolutely ridiculous and someone like Brad should know better. I don't think it's unreasonable to question his judgement.

EDIT: And let's call this comparison what it is: Not just close, but both saws appear to be able to make that cut in real close to 4 seconds. I don't have good ears but it clearly sounds to me like the 361 has the 590 beat when it comes to "out of the cut" RPM's. But in the cut, where torque matters, the Echo appears to even the score. If we were doing a blind comparison, everyone would guess the Echo to be a $700-$800, high end saw by the way it cut. But because it has the name "Echo" on the side, the saw snobs turn their noses up and try to explain why it can't do what it's actually doing.

Hardly a reason to attack him on another thread. What ever, sorry Randy.

With the arrogance of other port work guys, I would think your door would be getting beat down. I like the sound of "Masterminded" over "Smellerized" anyway:).

You don't know what you're talking about (as usual). Sometimes, you looks so stupid, I just think you're another BA nickname.

You just proved your stupidity on the other topic, so please, don't derail this one. You don't want to send a saw to Brad? Good news, his other customer's saws will be done faster. Now go away please.

Mocking my language again...that's sad. You're just a poor guy after all, if this is your only argument.

Hey bud, you keep coming after me because you can't handle what I have to say. I'm not asking you to agree with me...I'm just putting information out on this forum so others can make informed decisions. I realize conversations in Socialist France are different but (at least for now), we still have the right to talk about facts in the USA.

EDIT: And I'll be honest, I don't like Socialists.
