my first muffler mods.

well i finally did it! first i did the mod on the 290 then today i did my 260. got home from work and got them tuned and did a little cutting. i will say the 290 is pretty loud now i didnt notice too much difference with the 260. both saws responded very well. the 260 really rips now!:chainsawguy:

I think I'm going to mod my MS-290, I'm not sure about tuneing it my self for fear of getting it too lean?

well would pull the limiter tabs off of the carb adjusting screws after doing the mod tune it to where it idles smooth good acceleration and 4 strokes at full throttle out of the cut. plenty of good info on here about that

Does anyone have pics of pulling the limiter tabs from a 260? I was looking at mine and didn't know if I needed to remove the carb.
